Warriors se quedan sin Curry y Clippers sin Paul

Las lesiones de jugadores claves volvieron a protagonizar la jornada de playoffs de la NBA al confirmarse la baja por al menos 15 días del base estrella de los Warriors de Golden State, Stephen Curry, y la que sufrieron Los Ángeles Clippers, con el también número uno estelar, Chris Paul.

La lesión de Paul se dio la pasada noche durante el tercer periodo del cuarto partido de la serie de primera ronda de los playoffs de la Conferencia Oeste que disputan al mejor de siete ante los Trail Blazers de Portland.

Paul, el jugador franquicia de los Clippers, se fracturó un hueso de la mano derecha y será baja indefinida.

Mientras que los Warriors confirmaron también a última hora de la noche que Curry sufre un esguince del Grado I en el ligamento colateral medial, que lo mantendrá fuera de la competición por al menos 15 días.

Un examen de resonancia magnética confirmó la lesión de Curry, se se resbaló la tarde del domingo durante la primera parte del cuarto partido de la eliminatoria que disputaron en el Toyota Center de Houston contra el equipo local de los Rockets.

Según el gerente general de los Warriors, Bob Myers, las noticias médicas recibidas eran relativamente buenas ya que la rodilla no sufre ningún tipo de daño estructural ni mecánico por lo que no tendrá que pasar por el quirófano. Curry será evaluado de nuevo dentro de dos semanas.
